DBQ Help

The bell rang before we were able to go over everything today, so things to keep in mind:

1) Outside knowledge first! The documents are supplements to help strengthen your argument. Do not replace your outside knowledge with this info.

2)Tie back to your thesis--even with your documents, make sure you analyze and show how the support your thesis.

3) Don't forget to include the docs that may counter your thesis in order to show that you understand all perspectives.

4) Your target is 4-5 docs, but more is better.

5) Even if you focused on three specific reform movements, you can include docs about related movements. Try expanding the focus of the body paragraph to allow for this.

6) Email me over the weekend with any questions.

Good luck!

Since we're adding all this additional information and analysis, does that mean our papers no longer have to stay within the 2 page range? Mine is already on the third page...

yeah, thats kinda true. what you just said on the dbq help is a fundamental expansion of ideas on both focus and analysis, which REALLY does help. but, the 2 page range thing is a little restricting.... especially when you kind of make all this additional information mandatory

I am having the same dilemna, but I was wondering, if we add the new information, should we maybe cut down our previous knowledge so as too suscribe to the page limit?
